During the safety meeting today, a new type of "O" test was discussed. It is a 8-1/2 x 11 laminated piece of paper that has reflective qualities. It will be folded in half and placed in the switch points. There will be a notice coming out about it soon. If you are coming to a switch, and it is lined for you, you are not responsible to ensure that the points are free of debris and won't be held responsible for not seeing the card. The test is if you need to stop and line a switch, the card could be placed in the points. You need to remember that you cannot use your hands or feet to remove the obstruction. Use a stick or even a brake stick to remove it. This is considered a banner test for switch points. Be careful.
